.zomgHUGE tutorial (06): very vivid coloring; composing in different spaces

These tutorials are very dangerous for me because they combine three things I love: graphics, writing, and babbling at length about stuff I like. They can also be worked on in between long stretches of real life reading and work. Go go gadget grad student *wry look ( Read more... )

tutorials, graphics - misc., icons, resources, collages, zomghuge

*blushflailstammer* Thank you! :) A lot of this is really experimentation, though, not really intent--my notes for these are a mess, tons of stuff crossed out, moved around, scribbled over... Sometimes I know what I'm doing, because I have kind of standard things that I do (like Multiply/Screen layers for blending), but other times it's more like "Eh, let's see what happens when I do this," so what you see here is the very shiny process that doesn't exist in real life :)

"It is not I who am crazy, it is I who am mad!" :D

I'm so glad you recced design bum.

Isn't his stuff great? I found him through the resource post at starlingsby100, and I'm so happy I did! His .psd files are absolutely wonderful, and so useful--I've gotten a lot out of them.

Oh, thank you! I sometimes feel like I'm rambling rather than explaining, so I'm very happy it all makes sense :)
