*hugs* Take care of yourself. This too shall pass.
When I was in grad school and boyless (and poor, stressed, and uncertain about the future), I asked my goddess to put a "snuggly, easy-going, low-maintenance man" into my life. What I received, a few hours later at my open window, was the snuggliest male cat I have ever had--and I've had quite a few snuggly male cats. From this I learned two things: one, my goddess knows what I need better than I do, and can give it to me if I ask. (And if I had had a human relationship during grad school, it would have caused more angst than it relieved.) And two, a good cat can go a long way toward giving us the unconditional love we sometimes need (I say as I push my purring Bitten off the laptop yet again). Who knows what life will throw your way this coming year? You can't control what comes to you, but you can control how you handle what comes.
