I'm trying to actually start submitting work to writing contests that my old professors e-mail me about. I don't want to forget how to write.

In a month's time I might be able to adopt this pup-pup, and my life living in sin with Mark with a dog to call our own will be complete. My apartment now has a size limit that's about ten pounds too low, but the foster lady said he's been with them for awhile so there is a good chance he'll still be available when I move in with Mark on July 15th ( Read more... )

Last night I told my parents that Mark and I are moving in together in a few months. Mom was surprisingly not angry. Not thrilled but she's "always in my corner".

There has been a dog-shaped hole in my heart for a long time. I finally applied to adopt a dog that I felt really entranced by, a little black corgi mix with three legs named Lola, and they rejected me because I don't have another dog for her to play with. I knew there was a chance I could be rejected, but when it happened I was still really sad.

I was nervous enough about my graduation dinner/weekend with my extended family and Mark since it's the first family event since we got back together, but now Mark's parents are coming up for my graduation too.
