Age: Unknown, but is physically and mentally in her teens. Being a youkai, she's most likely much older chronologically.

Personality:
Yamame has a bright, outgoing personality. She's the sort of person that tends to be popular with the people around her for her optimism and easy-going nature. Playful and fun-loving with a curious streak and a tendency to be chatty, she loves getting to know new people and making new friends. This is somewhat hindered by the bad reputation her ability to cause disease gives her, but she's a persistent girl, and she doesn't let this-or much of anything, really-get her down. She's a positive thinker and plenty resilient.
Of course, despite her friendly nature, she's still a youkai. While she doesn't seem to harbor any particular ill will towards humans and will be as friendly toward them as anyone else, she's not as concerned with them as she is her youkai friends, making her potentially dangerous. She won't go out of her way to harm humans, but she has fewer compunctions about doing things that might. And, besides, it's just the natural order of things for youkai to hunt humans. In other words, she's the kind of youkai that will be trying to eat you one second and trying to befriend you the next.
Beyond that, she tends to be combative. She has no issue getting into fights of any kind with others, and in fact seems to enjoy them, thinking of danmaku in particular as "playing." Her in game dialogue suggests she's pretty confident in her abilities, too, despite being a mere Stage 1 boss. Still, she's not the type to goad people or attack without warning. After all, playing with a reluctant partner isn't any fun at all!
She also has a mischievous streak; though she is stated not to use her powers maliciously, she talks about how it will be "fun" to "punish [a human] with diseases," suggesting she uses her powers for her own entertainment at times. It's probably just another example of her youkai nature; she's not okay with using her abilities on other youkai, but humans are fair game and there for her entertainment. Even so, though, she wouldn't give a human anything serious... Probably.
Abilities:
flight- Like most Touhou characters, Yamame is capable of flight via levitation.
danmaku- Also like most Touhou characters, Yamame is capable of using a form of magical combat known as danmaku, which centers on elaborate patterns of magical bullets. Yamame's danmaku can be seen here and here.
disease manipulation- Yamame can cause, strengthen, weaken, or take away any sort of infectious disease. She has had the most practice causing and strengthening diseases, though, so that comes easiest to her.
spider form- Yamame's real form is that of an tsuchigumo (earth spider), and she can switch back and forth between her human and spider appearances at will. As a spider, she's about the size of an average human.
