Now, here's something from a(n old) feminist in the way of advice: while not betraying feminism in a sense, it is wise to seem just a little "unconcerned about the outcome" (just as an attitude, mind you, due to how the male mind/ego works, and how they are hardwired to like to "chase" and that means "elusive prey" so they have a "challenge") and remember YOU'RE worth a lot (from what I've seen in LJ and in PM-personal mail) so if they don't recognize it, then heck with'em!
