"I know. They used to tell Dad the same thing," he mused. His father worked up until his death, but he had always said that he would never die as a couch potato, per se. He wanted to still be energetic and moving, and he was.
Kamil had to keep himself from starting a trip down memory lane to answer Reza's question, "So far, besides you being found out to be a Knight, we are still on equal sides with the White Order. They know your identity, but at the cost of revealing one of theirs."
Reza turned away from him at that. It cost her a lot of freedom, such a move by the Orders. She couldn't be open with the people around her because... well, okay, sometimes- just sometimes- she didn't want everyone around her to die horribly. Only sometimes. Rarely. Maybe.
"Which we shall work on rectifying ASAP," he noted, finally putting the papers away. "As for you, you know to stay low and not attract too much attention nowadays."
Ha. Then again, that brat Damon gave her a lot of attention.
He was going to deal with him soon enough.
"Alright, the papers are gone," he set the manila folder on the coffee table. "Happy?"
"Mm, I wouldn't mind helping to lure them all out to kill them." Reza replied shifting from where she was to move back down to the floor. Happy? Sure, or something. Instead of answering right away, she moved to rest her cheek against his knee.
It was an idea that was in his head, but he at least wanted to find out two more definitely Soldiers, if only for their advantage so they could prepare even better.
...and she was on the ground again.
"You enjoy sitting on the ground," he allowed himself to play with some of her long hair.
"It's a habit," she replied softly, closing her eyes a little as he played with her hair, it was as submissive as she got... ever. About things. Still...
"Do you want me to kill him?"
Would be think a little more of her if she did as he wanted?
Kamil didn't stop what he was doing, but he did look at what he could see of her face. This was probably the one thing he hated about the job - killing them. But it was the only way to keep the war going, to keep the winning side victorious and the losing side defeated. He wasn't looking forward to Evelyn's possible death if she was indeed a Soldier. Even this guy - his General told him to do this. He was only following as he was ordered to.
Being a General, while prestigious, was not that great when it came to deciding the lives of others.
"Eventually, he will need to be killed..." he stated.
"Back in Morocco." And she left it at that. She didn't think those memories were worth dwelling over when there were other present things at hand. Reza would be sad to kill Evelyn. Maybe it had to be done, maybe not. It really wasn't her choice.
"I can easily be done. They'll try to use me to find the rest of you. It's the practical thing, prioritizing like this."
"You know, if they do kill me, you still win, they'll lose their only link to the knights they have right now." Cold and cynical yes, Reza didn't let such words come out like that, to actually offer a helpful suggestion to him as a subordinate, but she didn't do it because he was her general.
She did it because he was Kamil.
"If you let me at them, I'll take one down or at least inflict damage, reveal who they are. And they lose, everything."

"We have find a way to do so that won't leave you vulnerable to attack. I'm not going to let them take one of my Knights down with them."
