Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm safely back home in Muswell Hill. My journey wasn't too bad all things considered. The editor had brought her car in and lived in Tuffy Park so I got a lift to Camden Road and then walked a mile or so to meet my sister who'd come out from Mill Hill to drive me the rest of the way home. Thank goodness you're home, safe and sound. If the terrorists intended to divide and devastate the city, they've failed. If anything, it appears that they've made its citizens stronger and brought out the best in its people.

I'm glad you got home safe. I've been watching/listening to CNN since about 2:30 p.m. London time and there's been NO mention of the things you wrote about--the blocking of tube platforms, the arrests. Obviously we're not getting all the news.

I wondered why those specific places were bombed--not the City, not the government locations, not tourist attractions or places like Harrods. Makes you wonder if bombs were found and disarmed at some of those more obvious targets. I wonder if we'll ever know.

I'm just glad all my friends and my parents are safe and sound.
