Nothing like having your doctor miss cancer for the first 2 stages.
No one can understand how this could have happened. She did seek medical help when the symptoms first started, but they didn't see that it was cancer until just last week.
This is a GoFund Me for Blake who was just diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. Never smoked in her life. She's on my Friend list on livejournal as hillbillie and she DID go to the doctor several times to get this handled. Now suddenly it's lung cancer. It's frustrating, to say the least. She's too ill to work as a substitute teacher which means she didn't have that great amount of savings in the first place. Medical insurance is just not going to cut this after all the dings from the prior visits.
Blake has a way of making you feel comfortable. She's been a friend of mine on LJ for years. At a wedding, she walked outside and kept Kevin company as he dealt with wallflower syndrome/being over-peopled. I had to explain to him who she was afterwards. He was a stranger and still she spent a little time with him.
Oh and, Blake, fyi - I went ahead and married that skinny guy you talked to in the rain outside your son's wedding.
