Last month Brigid made a post on her blog about feminism that drew a lot of replies.

I was totally oblivious to such an internet conflict going on. However, I very much agree that treating anyone as a person first is the way to go. I can empathize with both sides of the equation though ( ... )

It's neat to see how much conversation my blog post has generated. The post has made me really examine my feminism as well... I've struggled with the term "feminist" for a long time because it's so divisive, and also because I'm in favor of gender equality for men as well as women; in fact, I think some of the biggest challenges facing gender equality involve discrimination against men - for example, the fact that TV and movies portray violence against, and even rape of men as comedy makes me sick ( ... )
