2008 Book n+x Pigs In Heaven

I've loved every Barbara Kingsolver novel I've ever read1, and her Poisonwood Bible is one of the most stunning and amazing works I've been privileged enough to open. Pigs in Heaven isn't prize-winningly good, but it is still good enough that I bought it at 4pm on Saturday (from a friend's leaving sale), started reading around 10pm when I got back ( Read more... )

I have this book... you'd recommend my reading it then? I have 24 hours to kill on a plane very soon....

I thought we were already mutual friends? Well, I've had you as a friend for quite some time now, anyway. Another travel blog would definitely be enthusiastically received.

You have to read the Poisonwood Bible. I'm amazed I didn't try to lend it to you when we were in JJ. I read it cover-to-cover non-stop except for an 8 hour pause at the climax of the book when I was just too psyched up and emotionally invested to continue with it immediately. That book is fantastic, and you will love it.
