'How're' was that intentional or were you drunk....? hm..I really dont know!! I dont know much about any live scenes as i can rarely work up the courage to go and check out any live music events!
haha, i am also losing my mind :) I find myself accidentally slipping words like 'intertextuality' and 'intentionality' into everyday conversation! *blush*
Well..if people say that then...maybe they're right! So, you should move to Europe! That is the answer!
I just started on Udolpho - I can relate to the first hundred pages, does it get better or worse further on, because Charles Robert Maturin's Melmoth the Wanderer was slow starting up, but further on was simply fantastic.
Im....just not sure!! I think the book put me into some kind of bisarre trance! mm, if you enjoyed the first hundred pages then yes, im sure youll enjoy the rest of the book!
Its just...a very slow book.. I mean, I have nothing against slow starts in themselves but..apart from a few genuinely chilling moments..reading Udolpho felt like swimming in concrete. Or like having my brain slowly smeared over a long trail of broken glass or any number of similar painful things!! Ive just finished my presentation on Jane Eyre so this week its on to Daphne Du Maurier and James Hogg. Then Angela Carter and Shirley Jackson.
Apparently The Bloody Chamber is a reworking of the Bluebeard story (which our tutor read ot us in class today, he read us a little story, how sweet!)So...that sounds interesting...
But, I must away to study!! have a lovely weekend!!

The United States music scene is a nightmare. People keep telling me that parts of Europe are vastly better.
