I am thinking about the other questions to the "blog about ____." I just haven't gotten to typing them up yet. And, so thekingnerd doesn't kill me, here is Jory's bio.

Jordan Moss (Jory)
Female
Registered Companion, Pilot

Jory was brought up on Greenleaf. She is the daughter of Truman Moss, CEO of Pharmatech Inc., a major pharmaceutical company. She was his only child for many years, as her mother disappeared when she was very young. However, her father has recently remarried, and she now has a one-year-old brother that she enjoys doting on.

Though her father wasn’t entirely absent or a bad parent, his job kept him away from home. Jory was primarily raised by Redding Park, who acted as a nanny of sorts. She is as close to him as she is to her father, and makes a point to check in with him as well as with her “real” family.

She was always interested in flying, but her father urged her to consider a more prestigious profession. As a compromise, he agreed to pay for spaceship piloting lessons if she went to school to become a companion. Grateful not to be forced into her father’s company, Jory readily agreed to the conditions.

She learned how to fly ships as a teenager, training in one of her father’s older models. She loved the freedom that being able to fly gave her, and was allowed to fly off to other, more consumer-driven planets for day trips.

Once she was old enough, she went off to companion training without a fight. She wasn’t sure how she was going to like it, but quickly found herself drawn in to the profession. She did a bit above average on her examinations, and felt even more like she’d made the right compromise with her father.

While in school she met a young man named Henrich Gettemy. They became quick friends, and kept in touch throughout and after their training. They had issues finding good work in the Core, and were eager to get out of there anyway. It turned out Henrich owned his own ship, an old Firefly of his grandfather’s. With Jory being able to pilot it, they set out for other planets and began to earn a living as both companions and a transport ship. They quickly found that they quite enjoyed smuggling as well as doing legal transports and companion work.

Jory is of about average height for a woman, if not a bit on the tall side. She has medium brown-reddish hair, which she prefers to keep up and off of her neck. Her skin is a natural tan color, much like creamed coffee.

If the occasion requires it she will wear a formal dress, but otherwise she much prefers pants. Around the ship she’ll wear simple clothes, like khakis and a t-shirt. Off of the ship, or with clients around, she’ll wear more elegant clothes, like loose-fitting orientle-style pants with a matching top, or women’s suit-pants and top.

Jory is quick-thinking and a good problem-solver. She prefers to reason things out over arguing, but will not hesitate to argue if the people around her refuse to see reason. She is very loyal to Henrich, and to anyone else she perceives as part of her “crew.” In fact, she’s loyal and chivalrous to a fault, and this is where her normal sense of reason tends to fail. She’d never leave anyone behind, no matter how much danger that would lead her in to.
