[holds out her innocence, and tries to invocate it... But it makes no motion or sign of invocation]

[another moment of trying to speak, and then Miranda just looks down, placing a hand over her mouth.]

... What're you doing?

[Miranda opens her mouth to explain-- and when no sound comes out, she sighs sadly]

[guardianofhell]

...? [Toshiki doesn't get it.]

What? What's wrong?

[diskinvocate]

[she shakes her head and flails a bit, motioning to her mouth]

[recognising]

[The moment he spots her he goes over and grabs her shoulders, clearly trying to talk, even mouthing the words, but nothing comes out. A second later he drops his hands and just gestures madly, clearly agitated, and still - no sound.]

[Miranda jumps and then stares at him, trying to comprehend what he's saying..

Slooooooowly shakes her head.]

[recognising]

[He pauses in mid-flail, arms all splayed out .. then just hangs his head, sighing hugely and, well, silently. He digs around in his pockets and manages to pull out a little notebook and a stubby little pencil. He quickly scribbles something down, then holds the thing up, the picture of dejection:

"How are we gonna get anything done when we can't even talk?"]

Miranda appears to be thinking.

And suddenly, it hits her! She mouths the words,

'We'll do things that don't need talking!']
