Time for an abnormally specific kink! Okay... Protagonist of your choice is cisgender, but their parent/guardian raises them as the gender they are not. Why they do this, I don't know or care; could be anything on the sympathetic scale from protecting them from the villain (quite like this with Aurora being raised as a boy) to enjoying fucking with their heads (I would prefer the latter is only used if the parent/guardian IS the villain, no making them bad guys if they canonically weren't, but villain kidnapping and raising the protagonist when they canonically didn't is awesome). Parent/guardian is very thorough with this, if the setting allows for it they may manage to keep their kid ignorant of the difference, and it totally fucks up the protagonist's mind. By their late teens, they know something is up.

Special happiness if an actual emotionally-healthy trans person is involved, to highlight that there's a big difference.

I did something like this once with a genderbent!ElsaxPinocchio story: King Agnarr and Queen Iduna wanted *ONLY* *girls/women* in THEIR royal lineage, so when their firstborn happened to be MALE, they did *EVERYTHING* *possible* in raising Elsa (YES; *really*) as *a GIRL/WOMAN*. Little sister/younger daughter Anna, royal staff, trolls, and subjects NEVER knew, but ELSA *HIM-self* *did*. In his and Anna's parents' will after their death, it was stated for Elsa NEVER *ever* to reveal that 'SHE' was *TRULY* *he*. -Of course, Elsa after a while *DID tell* Anna (Olaf already subconsciously knew that his 'mom' was ACTUALLY *his 'DAD'*), who gave NOT *one* *WIT*!! BROTHER *OR* *sister*, Elsa was STILL and *ALWAYS&* would be *her SIBLING*!

_(COUGH)! *Ahem*! ...In other words; when I have time, *SECONDED*!!

Ooh, is that story posted anywhere? Elsa would be a great candidate for either being raised as a boy or actually being a boy raised as a girl, I heartily approve! I admit my first thought way back when I posted this was Snow White being raised as a boy so she couldn't be the "fairest", but anyone would be good.

Sorry, no, OP. I hit a snag in the story-line and had to abandon/delete it.

-BUT, I *am* seriously thinking about redoing the story with Pinocchio actually being a *real GIRL* (ha-ha), yet being raised as the *OPPOSITE* gender for protection purposes. Poor Pinoke is TOTALLY and *ABSOLUTELY* *confused* by the time she begins to reach adolescence; AND *early*, to boot!!

Enter other *real CIS!GIRL* Wendy Moira Angela Darling, *cis!BOY* Hercules, and two emotionally-healthy transgenders Hiro Takachiho-Hamada and Princess Aurora AKA 'Briar Rose' to help Geppetto's Little Wooden-Head out with her emotional and physical feelings as 'mangled up in tangled-up knots' akin to the Grinch's gunk and garlic-filled soul. (They also happen to be willing and able to help girl!Pinocchio out with winning the heart of semi-newest Disney Princess Anna alongside Jiminy Cricket...!!)

Halfway through Pinocchio Edward Caspari's twelfth year, -as well as part-way through filming of a crossover version of 'Aladdin'- his chest begins to hurt and ...*swell*, for lack of a better word/meaning; a strange sort of burning, throbbing pain reverberates from within below his stomach and between his legs; and whilst CONTRARY to popular fan-based belief he *ABSOLUTELY* *can-NOT* *stand* Alice Liddell, he thinks "Princess" Anna Snowden from Disney's 'Frozen' to be *EXTREMELY* RATHER *pretty* (BEAUTIFUL, actually), yet *DOESN'T think of himself* as '*straight*'. How *VERY* *strange*, -AND *FRIGHTENING

Despite 'Pinoke's' fears, HER conscience/best friend (*ONE OF them*) Jiminy H. ('Hadrian') Cricket *does NOT* even *begin* to get in trouble for casting the Cruciatis Curse -one of the Unforgivables- on Alice Liddell. It's SAID FEMALE who gets in trouble for *ASSAULTING* the *~other~ girl* and NOT *stopping* *EVEN* *when BEGGED/PLEADED*; and *HORRIBLY so*. Filming for the crossover version of 'Aladdin' finishes up with Wendy Moira Angela Darling filling in Alice's role for 'Princess Jasmine
