What if, after busting the case wide open (doing a much better job as civilians than the actual cops), Judy throws back Bogo's invitation to re-join the force?

So now that she, with next to no resources, solved a case that the whole might of the ZPD couldn't, she's suddenly good enough?

She turns her back on the force and instead opens up a Private Investigator firm alongside Nick. Helping those that wont be taken seriously by the cops, or think they wont help them due to species.

Bonus+

- Judy makes her refusal loudly and publicly, maybe even caught on the news.
- several predator cops quit after how they were treated, they cant protect people who don't trust them after all.
- A hurt Clawhauser joins the firm as their secretary.

Seconded. I always thought Private Investigator fit Nick better than being police. I am surprised at how easy it was they accepted Judy back to the force
