WARNING: I had no idea where to end this. You can either finisht his yourself or help me with it, but I'm really stuck.It was hard to keep a little girl with the hours he worked, but even harder to keep her without the money he took in. Thank god for Madame Rigaud, who understood enough to take the little girl in while he was out. She was blind and lame, but whenever Clopin came home, Esmeralda was sitting at Madame Rigaud's feet even tidier than she'd been when Clopin dropped her off

He spent days in jail with the other streetwalkers if gendarme ever caught him out past curfew, but those nights weren't always a loss.
