Ok, I have this friend. Macho as they come, and rather aggravating about it, or rather, she used to be, before we were friends. However, last year, she came out as a transsexual (MtF). I'd like to see a similar thing with Gaston. Gaston as self-hating transwoman, who uses a facade of over-the-top masculinity to conceal her 'unmanly' nature. Angst in judicious doses welcomed.

this is so gorgeous! i love every choice you made in writing it -- gaston being so observant of the other womens' qualities, trying to figure out where she fits in with them, what they can mean for her and her identity. lovely!
