Movie: Lion King Pairing: Timon/Pumbaa Prompt: Human AU! Timon and Pumbaa are a happy gay couple, and Simba is their adopted son. Not really sure what the plot could be, but anything featuring this setup would be awesome!

"Isn't it, you know... weird?"
Simba looked round to Nala with a frown, pausing in unlacing his soccer boots. "What do you mean?"
"Having two Dads."
She was trying to be nonchalant (his new favourite word of the week, out of a crossword) but wouldn't look at him properly. Simba looked at her for a moment, then shrugged and switched feet. "Nah. Why should it be? I mean, you might as well say it's weird having a Mom and a Dad, or just a Mom, or

"Dad!" Simba shouted. He jumped down from the wall and ran over to Timon, almost turning the running hug into a tackle. Timon pulled an exaggerated face as he picked Simba up, then let him slide to the ground again

Thank you! ^^ I really enjoyed this because it let me play around with the Disney family set-ups... considered mentioning Aurora's three mothers, but decided against it. I'm glad it didn't feel too issue-y... little kids are just awesome, really.

I love that one of the things that you do is show the differences in families (single mums, single dads, raised by sibling, two dads, mum and dad) as well as sexuality differences, like the remark about Simba not wanting to kiss anyone. It’s nice to see asexuality being alluded to. And I’m repeating what others have said, but I love the mentions of other Disney characters. The idea that they all know each other makes me happy.

This is the best Disney Human AU I've read. I honestly could read more of this 'verse; the idea of Timon and Pumbaa being Simba's dad is lovely and the conversation that Simba and Nala have about sexuality is brilliantly done in a way where it's in innocent, with them (presumably) being kids in this, but yet so accepting. And the mentions of other Disney families made me go all warm and fuzzy.
