Hercules/Anya What Anya doesn't know when she accepts her new title is that she also accepts the obligations associated with it. Shortly after her birth, she was engaged to the new-born legitimate son of Zeus. Now that both of them have been recovered, they are to follow through on the agreement. Neither of them, who are in love with other people, want to marry each other, but they are forced to. I'd like to see an angsty wedding night. Hercules doesn't want to hurt her with his strength, and he can't help but think of Meg. Anya is bitter and sarcastic, even though she knows that Hercules is as unwilling as she is.
anya sat on the opposite side of the bed, her feet on the ground, facing away from this guy, her husband, hercules. the son of zeus. she wasn't sure she even deserved him, she was only a duchess, after all

Arghhhh, I can't believe that I didn't comment on this!
The characterisation here is beautiful, so tender on both of their parts. Hercules's promise is perfect, so like him to find that closest thing to a compromise. I always love your style of writing, how streamlined it is, and this is no exception.
