Pinocchio/Alice
Pinocchio has a lot of questions about being a 'real' kid. Alice is equally curious about what it's like to be a puppet. They share through impromptu show-and-tell. Bonus for fluffy touching out of curiosity (example; Alice running her fingers over the smooth craftsmanship of his cheek, Pinocchio shyly leaning in to smell her hair).
"Curiouser and curiouser," Alice says as she walks around the puppet-boy, tilting her head and crouching down as though to admire him from every angle. Pinocchio looks back at her with equal amazement

Eventually they pull back, sink down onto the springy grass beneath them with little space between them, and wonder what to ask of one another next.
Alice goes first.
"Can you take those off?" She nods at his shoes. He stares at her.
"You mean you can?He watches with fascination as she removes her shoes and her socks, tucking the latter neatly inside the former, and wriggles her bare toes in the ground. Pinocchio tugs at his own feet, carved permanently into wooden clogs, eyes never leaving the miraculous appendges attached to Alice

Gosh, I know I am the latest thing ever and I'm sorry I didn't check on this meme earlier! *grovels*
But goodness do I LOVE the fill you wrote for me, dear anon! Alice was so very Alice and Pinocchio was his sweet little puppet self, in their dialogue and in their actions~ I'm so happy that you got to fit in the fluffy touches I suggested - thanks and extra brownie points to you! :D My favourite part was how you had Pinocchio insult poor Alice (haha)to reveal his oddity to her - so clever! and adorable how she forgave him so quickly, aww <33
Thank you so so very much for writing this! It's simply perfect - if Alice and Pinocchio were to show-n-tell, it'd happen exactly like this~ *hugs fic*
