Mulan and Shang are in love, and want to get married when it comes out that Shang's mother wants to meet Mulan. Mulan, wanting to try and make a good impression, dresses as she would to see the matchmaker- but far, far fancier, turning herself into the 'little porcelain doll' that she thinks Shang's mother would be expecting.
Well, it turns out that Shang's father didn't just marry Shang's mother for her looks- she can be quiet, and demure, but in reality, she's tough, feisty, and she secretly practiced martial arts.
IDEK, I just want Shang's mother being a badass and meeting Mulan who's trying to impress Shang's mother by being the 'good lady' while Shang's mother wants to meet teh hero of china, not some doll. ^^;;
