Inspired by the poster for the TV Special coming next year, "Tangled: Ever After". On another forum, someone joked that both Flynn and Maximus were both doing 'the Dreamworks face'. Immediately my mind supplied "it runs in the family". So.
Years ago, 'Max' was transformed into a horse by a witch (he ticked her off, or he wouldn't give her something she wanted). Now somehow the spell is broken, he remembers everything about his past, and needs to find out what happened to his little brother, Eugene...
Gimme the whole gamut of emotions and slow brotherly bonding if you please (with lots of nudging and support from Rapunzel).

Rapunzel looked up from the drawing that she was working on to pin Eugene with an astonished look. "You had a brother?"
"Emphasis on the had, Rapunzel." He looked like he didn't want to talk about it, but for some reason or another, he was forcing himself too. It was like that time he confessed to her that he couldn't, in fact, help it when he took things from other people. That the love of her life was a kleptomaniac was something Rapunzel wasn't so thrilled about, but this news was an entirely different story

Maximus was angry. He was often angry, but right now, he was downright pissed. Someone had neglected to tell him that the Princess decided to go to a picnicking spot that was NOT the place that had been agreed upon the previous day. It may have well been an honest mistake but Maximus knew that it wasn't and the one who was behind it was not Corona's formerly missing heir. Rapunzel was loved by all for a reason, and that was in part because she followed the rules. Unfortunately there was one annoying tick who insisted upon sticking to her like glue and the Princess herself was so infatuated by him that she could not see beyond his supposed charm and into his penchant for stepping over the law
