After TS3, Woody realizes something.
He's getting old. Jessie's just as old as he is, but she wasn't played with as often as he was, she's not as worn out as he is.
Meanwhile, Bonnie's toys have started to look to him because he's been around for such along time, and they've heard the stories of what he's willing to do for those in his "family"- he went back to Sunnyside, didn't he?
So Woody starts to teach Buzz all he knows. After all, they've been real true friends for so long... But Buzz doesn't like the way Woody's thoughts are going.
Eventually, Woody just doesn't "wake up".
I would like to cry, [not]anons. ;____________;
Super-special-awesome bonus if, one day, the toys end up with a child (Bonnie's child?) who is so much like Woody it's not even funny. :)
