Kari/Helen, set during the time when Helen is having doubts about Bob's fidelity. Kari tries really hard to impress Helen with her ~superior babysitting knowledge~, Helen is reluctantly charmed by her earnestness, they kiss, Helen feels guilty about it later.

The first time she watches Jack Jack is sort of a disaster. She's his first sitter that isn't related to him by blood and while Dash and Violet pack for camp and Mr. Parr tries to reserve a table that isn't next to the kitchen, the youngest is red faced and screaming his opinion of everyone's plans

One day she comes over to give Violet the work she missed ditching class (she swears she was there but Kari rememebrs looking for her during pledge and seeing an empty seat) and finds Helen at the table, head in her hands while Jack Jack slumbers in his seat, chair and body covered in mashed potatoes but his mouth curiously clean as he snores loudly.
"Mrs," she clears her throat, "Helen?"
"Kari." she lifts her head with a sigh, "What can I do for you sweetie?"
"Oh..." she shoves the folder into an open drawer and walks over, "nothing. I was just stopping by. Are you okay, do you need me to watch Jack?"
She chuckles, picking at her thumbs, "No. Someone from the agency is on the way. Third one this week."
"Where's Mr. Parr?"
"...Away."
Kari sits across from her and takes out a book, apologizing for being intrusive but suggesting, no insisting that she considers finding one person to watch Jack Jack, because well he can't learn to adapt until he's given someone who's around long enough to adapt to and since Violet is always in

Love this so far, I think you really nailed the characters' voices especially Kari's narration.
