Toy Story - Andy's Dad

So we never see Andy's dad in any of the movies. Anon had read several fics where he's dead.
But what if he wasn't dead?
Where has he been all this time?
(A solider? Working far away? Did he simply divorce Andy's mom and move on?)
Does he come by very so often? (Between movies I guess)
What does Andy think about him?
What does Woody think of him?
(Assuming Woody was handed down fom father to son)
tl;dr - Andy's dad visits from wherever he was. Andy's and Woody's thoughts on the matter.
