Hmm. I like this prompt - am wondering, though, if it would throw you (as much as it's throwing me) to hear it from characters who, in their given period of history, would very likely not have had the same concept of "gay" that we do in 2012.
I mean, Gaston/LeFou would be my go to choice for this, because I could totally see Gaston getting off on LeFou's submission, but it's less about LeFou being a dude than it is about the dominance etc. ... but then I can't think of dialogue that is both IC and reflective of the kind of denial/angst I think you want to read? Thoughts?
I think that makes a very interesting study. I know that the concept of gay is relatively modern, like you pointed out. Do whatever strikes you; I am sure it is all great reading.
A man has sex with another man, but then asserts he is not gay.
Heavily denial, angst, etc. etc.
