Finally got to watch Frozen now that it's out on DVD, and honestly the character that intrigued me the most was the Duke of Weselton. It seems obvious that he must have had a really bad experience with magic in the past, while others reacted with fear to Elsa revealing and losing control of her powers he's the only one who acted like just the word sorceress is an condemnation, and I'd really like to read someone's idea of what that experience was!
Don't feel like you need to make the Duke sympathetic unless you want to, he was clearly a jerk even before his issues with magic were revealed. And feel free to turn it into a crossover if you like; maybe his duchy got hit by the sorceress of extreme overaction from Beauty and the Beast, or somebody there annoyed Maleficent at some point, or his daughter was unlucky enough to be fairer than the queen from Snow White and it drastically shortened her life.
