Cinderella (3), Anastasia(/F)afterandalasiaSeptember 5 2014, 09:16:23 UTC
Anastasia feels like there is something wrong with her, knows that she ought to look at men the way that she wants to look at women. But she can't help it. It's one of the things that makes her so awkward around her mother - she feels like it makes her inferior to Drizella. Lady Tremaine picks up on her uncertainty and uses it against her, even if she doesn't figure out the exact reason.
If this ends with Anastasia happy with a female character, I will love you forever. Crossover, OFC, genderbend the Baker because he's adorable. Go for it.
Anastasia Lucille Tremaine *does NOT* REALLY *hate*/*DIS-like*/*LOATHE* her naturally beautiful and charming (intelligent, brave, and with a sense of humor as well) *STEP-sister* Cinderella, as her mother Lady Eleanor Tremaine and *BIRTH/TWIN sister* Drizella Rhoda Tremaine do themselves and BELIEVE/*think*/'*KNOW*' *SHE does*. Anastasia MAKES herself try and feel that so that her mother will not pick up on Anastasia's ...wrongness. (She CAN'T *REALLY* *HELP it* where Cinderella's concerned, despite her being semi-family! After all, as stated before, the stepchild of the Tremaine family is *naturally* charming and beautiful...) Otherwise, it will be just one thing more for her mother to pick on about her
( ... )
Anastasia doesn't know HOW she manages to do it when it suddenly seemed as though Cinderella *would NOT* be able to make it to the ball, but *JUST* *minutes* before the Tremaine family begin to walk out the door, said naturally-beautiful inside-and-out stepsister sweeps (ha) down the staircase looking more beautiful than ever in a pink and white gown that looks to be an old one made over new calling out, "WAIT! *PLEASE*, *wait for me*!" Anastasia willingly does, while her mother and sister comply ONLY out of *UTTER* *shock/surprise
( ... )
It is NOT *JUST* *Cindy* who finds budding romance at the Prince's ball, however. Once Anastasia has finished talking with the King, she discovers that she is *VERY thirsty* from all of the talking she has done, and so makes her way to the punch bowl. It takes not THREE, but *FOUR cups of pineapple-peach-raspberry punch* before her thirst is *somewhat* sated; Anastasia fervently hopes that this *does NOT* make her look greedy

Oh, Anastasia. I wasn't expecting the Anastasia/Rapunzel, but it worked so well, and I really liked how she took in those little details of Rapunzel's appearance, like the little gap between her front teeth, that make it feel more real and perfect for its reality instead.
It was really nice to see Anastasia being the one to step up and deal with her mother and sister as well! (God, I really need to work on my own BAMF!Anastasia fic, her character is so amazing in the third film especially.) The canon divergence worked really well, there.
One thing I might suggest, though? On LJ, you can use < i > or < b > for italics or bold for emphasis; it can be easier to read than ** on things, as the asterisks can be a little bit overwhelming. :)
I thought at first of using Princess Anna, but then Mr. Plot-Bunny switched on me. And I'm glad that you liked those little details I added in; I try to use them in my stories whenever I possibly can.
I *know*, RIGHT?!? I just COULDN'T *BEAR* to *go CANON* there, so I slipped into alternate universe. (Sounds like a plan-!)
(BLUSH)!!! *Oops*-!! Sorry; okay, I'll remember THAT in the future.
