[Megamind had left - he'd left despite her arguments to the contrary - this was NOT the time to be roaming about the school (that silly, aggravating FOOL), but he hadn't listened. He was as stubborn as she was, and despite her frustration it was something she could admire about the man. She'd fallen silent and sullen when he left, arms crossed over her chest in irritation when she watched the door swing shut, cutting off the final view of his fluttering cape. She'd sat there for a while in stony silence, ignoring her company in the room as she stared at a stack of random photographs.

Except he's been gone way too long. Too long for her to be comfortable with, and she told herself repeatedly that it was NOT out of concern for Megamind that she waited for Metro Man to be distracted by something in the photography lab in order to slip out and make her escape. Unfortunately, there was that annoying little voice in the back of her mind telling her that she actually WAS worried for him. She shakes the thought out of her head - because it's ridiculous. Besides - there's others out there that she's worried about, too. Astrid, Jackie - both people she barely knew but had shown her respect and kindness when she was still painfully new.

Uncertain how to handle that little revelation about Megamind, she tells herself over and over it's just to keep them all together. It's better that way.

Once in the halls, she kept herself firmly pressed against the wall and tried to avoid any windows or doorways. Easier said than done. She's currently going down that very same hallway the three of them had barreled down earlier, and having far less success by herself - but she's moving. No way is some black mist stopping her from her mission. She doesn't back down, she doesn't give up, and she'd shown enough silliness and weakness the first time around. She wasn't letting it get to her again.

She just hoped Metro Man wouldn't do something stupid while she was gone.]
