[When Mulan's visage flickers on to the comm this time around it's all business. Her mouth is set into a firm line before she bows and begins to speak.]

Hello everyone. I know I haven't been a part of the staff for long, but...

[She pauses and frowns, then continuesBut I think we should get together and discuss these kidnappings. We've sat around ( Read more... )

[Elisa was one of the first people to arrive at the meeting. She looked tired and a little pale, as if she hadn't had a good night's sleep since the disappearances had been announced. Which wasn't far from the truth.

On one level, she had been snatched by the Mist herself a few short months ago and knew exactly how sudden it was. No amount of preparation or security procedure could have prevented. But, on another level, she was in charge of the security at the Academy. She should have been able to do something!]

[Bianca climbed nimbly up on to a convenient table in order to participate in the meeting. (She had no desire to get trampled under foot, after all.) She was terribly worried about the poor people who had been taken - whether she knew them or not - but she was also cautiously optimistic. There were so many good people here, after all. Good people who were determined to help. She believed in them as fervently as she believed in the Rescue Aid Society.]

Good day Miss Bianca. [He gave his small acquaintance a polite nod.]

... how have you fared these past weeks?

Mister Norrington. [She offered him both a nod and a smile.] I am quite well. I hope you are the same?

Well enough considering the circumstances.

By all means contact me if you are finding anything not within your grasp. I believe I'm not incorrect in assuming that the Headmaster gave you the proper amenities but I understand if there are still some areas which were overlooked. I am here to assist in any way I can.

DISCUSSION TOPIC: STUDENT INVOLVEMENT destinyentwined April 1 2011, 17:26:35 UTC
[He'll just start this--]

As Miss Fa previously mentioned, an important point of discussion is the student involvement. I, for one, can see no advantage of letting the older, more mature students, be kept unaware of the disappearances of their peers or staff. I am of the belief that we must use any and all resources at our disposal, regardless of how unorthodox it may seem, to rid ourselves of a very large threat, and those resources are better served when they are informed.

Your thoughts?

[ Someone's hiding in the background. ]

I see no advantage over even trying to keep such a secret anymore, I find it a waste of energy, and it seems most everyone finds out before the worst of it happens. While the smaller children may be tough to handle in a time of crisis, we only have a few of them, and it's nothing we can't handle, surely?

I agree entirely, Captain. [Why was it so much easier to address Amelia by her military status, but not Miss Sinclair? Probably because she wasn't human. Norrington was a conundrum at times...]

So do I. If we keep them in the dark, they're just going to get into trouble trying to find out things we should have told them.

We need all the help we can get.

DISCUSSION TOPIC: EXPERIENCES WITH THE MIST destinyentwined April 1 2011, 17:29:55 UTC
Does anyone have anything of value to add, regarding experience with the mist, that has not already been recorded in the reports? [Of which Norrington has a stack of them and has read them Religiously since his arrival last November. -- But chances are, unless you wrote down your experiences, he probably doesn't know about them.]

[ Guess who didn't write down that one thing that happened that one time... He speaks up and tries to somehow be casual about it, still feeling rather foolish about the whole thing but not wanting to show that. ]

On the last time the campus was penetrated, I had something of a run-in with... Whatever beings arrive from that mess, I suppose. Only one, I believe. In the library.

I can vouch for the occurance, in fact, it took up my own likeness, and subsequently dispersed when I arrived.

[ Oh don't worry Doc. She'll handle all the embarassing details. ]

How were you able to disperse it?

... while gossip may seem frivolous, we are at the point in our research that we will take any and all information, no matter how ridiculous or small it may seem. Please share what rumors you have heard regarding the mist.
