We're going to the woods to check on everyone, of course! [He then continued speaking in a more hushed voice.] But we must be very quiet or the grown-ups might hear us. I don't think they would be happy if they found out.
[He looked up and saw a very large figure looming over him. He looked at Brooklyn then looked at his communicator, back at Brooklyn and once more at the communicator.]

[From the moment that the Mist had fallen over the island, Bianca had found herself jumping at shadows and sudden noises. She was scared. Petrified, even. And she missed Bernard terribly. She felt his absence even more keenly than usual at the moment.
In a way, it was a relief that the slamming of the door had been something so small. (What would she have done if it had been a Strangeling?) It was only Pooh. Pooh certainly wasn't dangerous.]
