[Kairi had scampered off to the library after her encounter with the Strangeling... in fact, that's where she had been since, only returning to her room to change clothes and sleep.

The event had shaken her greatly, creating chaos in her heart. Not a moment passed where her hands didn't tremble, or the phantom touch of the Mist dissapate from her skin. Every so often, the Strangeling's voice would repeat in her head, both in Sora's and Riku's voice... and the terrifying combination of the two. It was driving her near to madness.

The beeping communicator shocked her out of her stupor; with an unsteady hand, she pulled it out of her bag, only to drop it as soon as she saw who was calling. Surprise, terror, and an uncertain hope paraded through her, barraging her like rain of lead. Her comm had turned on due to the drop; silence enters Kairi's end of the line, before shuffling, as she bends down to pick it up with a trembling hand ( ... )

[He had though of hanging up, however, at the last ring, her heard it. He heard her voice as his eyes widened ever so slightly.]

Kairi? Kairi is this really you?

[He felt so relieved and happy, though he furrowed his brows, the feeling disappearing. Was this real? He wasn't so sure. Could this be another trick by the Mist. OH WHY DO THESE TWO QUESTION SO MUCH. He stood slowly up from his bed and held onto his communicator.]

I'm in the room...where are you?

[He hoped she'd answer his questions correctly. His thoughts were blinding him as he had a blank expression.]

Y-yeah, it's me. [Riku wasn't talking like the Strangeling at least, but she couldn't quite shake the uneasy feeling in her gut... though, unbeknownst to her, that was simply because the Mist was continuing to feed off her negativity, Strangeling or no Strangeling.]

I'm in the library...

[Her hand still shook, and her eyes stung with tears. Was she really going to go see if it was truly Riku...? Was she going to risk running into another Strangeling, and this time, not come back?

She could feel something in her heart pulling her towards yes, a pure feeling, a determined feeling... like a light in the darkness. No, she had to check. For if it really was Riku, she had to be there for him, she had to be strong.

Her voice is still shakey, but much more confident as she speaks again.]

But I'll head out now to the room. Just give me a few minutes, and I'll be there. Promise.

Alright. I'll wait here.

[To be honest, he had no clue where the library was. Or at least could not remember where it was. So he just went to sitting on his bed again and turning off the communicator. He stared at the device's screen and set it down. He sighed and laid back on his bed, staring at the ceiling. He blinked slowly but paused, touching his face and removing the blindfold.]

...

[His pale turquoise eyes stare blankly at the ceiling as he stayed quietly, listening to his thoughts. Probably very emo ones. Woot.]
