Isabella sat outside under the shade of a large tree with her laptop in her lap, but she was hardly even paying attention to whatever was on the screen. Her eyes were, instead, focused on a group of people across the lawn. She was daydreaming again, and probably wouldn't snap out of it on her own anytime soon ( Read more... )

Phineas' weekend had been packed with finishing up as much coursework as he possibly could without dying from sleep deprivation. After all, he knew pretty much everything the courses taught, he was just going through the motions so he could advance into the higher classes. But just that minute, he was in need of some fresh air and a break from staring at a computer screen. He tucked his hands in his pockets and decided to take a walk.

Which was when he saw Isabella under a tree. He grinned and walked up behind her before grinning. "Hey, Isabella. Whatcha waaaatchin'?"

Isabella jolted from her daydream to the voice of the person she'd been daydreaming about. She blinked and glanced over at him with a big grin. "Oh! Hi Phineas!"

She glanced over to where she'd been staring before back at him. "Oh, I was just spacing out... I'm almost done with this essay and I'm having a hard time focusing," she laughed.

She paused before adding, almost as an after though. "Whatcha dooooin?"

"Taking a walk. I spent all morning working on my mechanical physics coursework, so I need to rest my eyes. Want to come along? I mean, after the essay thing." He couldn't help but smile a little whenever she asked that question. It always struck him as pure adorable, and generally he could answer with a really cool thing. Right then, though, he wasn't particularly doing anything spectacular.

"I really don't have a destination, though. Maybe you can help me with that."

Isabella smiled and laughed. She hadn't been expecting anything spectacular since she was well aware they'd all been loaded with course work that weekend. She clicked a few buttons and shut her laptop. "I can finish the essay later. Maybe I just need a break from it for a little bit," she assured him.

She would never pass up the opportunity to hang out with him, even if it meant she'd be paying for it later by finishing the essay at three in the morning. She packed her laptop into her bag and stood up. "So we need a destination then?"
