Phineas and Ferb were in their dorm, working on the final plans for the fair. Well, it should be stated that Phineas was more busy with his other plans that ran concurrent to the fair, but he was still working. He sat on the couch, scratching his head with the eraser of his pencil, head tilted in concentration as he worked on the lyrics to his song

"But she's still used to my... our usual flair to things. I'm pretty sure if I don't do it the way I have planned, I'll have really blown it. Okay, now I need to get off the subject before I have a meltdown. Hey, what's the ninja class like?" He smiled, glad that Ferb was okay with his quick change of pace, because if he wasn't, he'd have a Candace-level meltdown.

"It'll be fine, Phineas." He hopped off of his bed to start some water in the percolator for ramen. He was familiar with Phineas' fretting, and he was okay with distracting him. "It's a lot of fun, actually." He grinned and pulled out his binder from his backpack so he could show Phineas the syllabus.

Phineas flipped through it, arching one brow as he read, "Wow. That is... really interesting stuff, there, Ferb. And what, exactly, were you planning on doing with this knowledge? You don't need to be any more sneaky than you are, it's already pretty hard to tell if you're around unless you're right in plain sight." He got a lopsided smile. "You're a natural at this."

"That's why, exactly. I'm already good at it, and it's a lot of fun, so I thought I'd make it my minor." He shrugged. "You'd be good at it too." It was easy to distract Phineas; even though he tended to hyperfocus on things he liked, he was a bit of a ferret.

"Y'think so? I'm pretty sure I think out loud a little too much to be a ninja, Ferb. Half of it is stealth and half of stealth is being quiet. I'm far from that." He handed back the binder and grinned. "Y'know, I'm pretty sure whatever it is you're learning, I'll be able to glean from, anyway. I'm just really glad you're doing something you enjoy. I really wish they'd let us test out of some of this stuff, though. I mean, we've done all our coursework already, and well, I think with the exception of labs and tests, we're good to go for the entire year. We've got all this time on our hands, y'know? And I doubt the dean'll let us build something new every day."

That? That's what Phineas feeling a bit homesick sounded like.
