Flying in behind the buildings, dropping from a parachute from his latest adventure foiling Doofenshmirtz, Perry fell to the ground, quickly hid the parachute and then hid away the hat, god only knows where under his fur. And here comes Vanessa, completely unaware of whatever it was her dad had tried this time that had called for Perry's foiling skills. While on a date with Ferb she'd recently discovered that everyone's favorite platypus just might be on campus, but she hadn't been entirely sure until, well, there he was.

Oh look! It was Vanessa, all grown up. He greeted her with a salute and then paused. Did she know about her father and his possible attempts to start teaching at the school? Normally a degree from the internet wouldn't let you be a professor, but apparently the school had a tendency to take in parents of students as professor. Or vice versa, the organization wasn't completely clear on the details. Still, Perry had been warned about such a possibility and Doofenshmirtz had bragged about it himself. He was doing it for Vanessa, ironically, though Perry doubted she'd be as thrilled about it as Doof hoped.

She knelt down so she was close to Perry, but looked around suspiciously. "If you're here...that doesn't mean my dad isn't here...does it?" she asked, not really sure if she wanted to know the answer.

Perry hesitated. He wasn't here... yet. But he was coming. And he definitely didn't want to lie to Vanessa about it. Besides, Doofenshmirtz really should have told her himself. He held up a hand and wavered it to show that the answer was neither yes nor no, and held up two fingers to signify that she had, at best, two more days of freedom.
