[#65] *PUBLIC* SPRING CARNIVAL/EASTER WONDERLAND RECCOMENDATIONS!
ENDED, SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought I would bring to attention the current events taking place at TDR. The merch on sale is only limited to the time the event runs, so, some of the things for sale you won't ever get another chance at buying. SO, I buy the "Disney Fan" magazine and have taken some photo's (unfortunately, I don't own a scanner here in Japan :S) for everyone to see. I know the quality is pretty bad, BUT, hopefully you can get the general idea of what the events "style" is like and maybe you'll find something you love!
TOKYO DISNEYLAND - EASTER WONDERLAND 4/1 - 6/30 2010!
This event is based heavily on "Alice In Wonderland" and thus many of the characters have something to do with either Alice OR Easter. For example, you can get a plushie keychain of Mickey wearing the Mad Hatter's outfit.. or a Pluto plushie key chain wearing an easter bonnet.
Here are some examples of the current merch for this event: (ANY questions please comment!!)
Some cookies/sweets, egg toys with surprises and stationary.
Micky and Minnie plushie keychains, hair accs, metal keychain, cups, flannels
TDL 27th Anniversary items - Mickey cosplaying as Mad Hatter! Bags, plushie keychains, plushie, t-shirts,pens, watches, ticket holder lanyard, cups etc.
DISNEY SEA - SPRING CARNIVAL - 4/1 - 30/6:
Disney Sea's "Spring Carnival" is based around, you guessed it, SPRING. There's lots of Tinkerbell and fairy inspired things! It's very cute, fresh looking merch. I personally prefer this to the TDL wonderland items as Easter has already passed.. BUT, both are cute! Tinkerbell and flowers are a big theme!
Examples:
Plushie key chains, tin badge, fold-away tote, ticket holder lanyard, cookies/sweets.
Hair accs, plushie keychains, stationary, lanyard, bag.
And my PERSONAL favourite item of the month?
Shellie May plushie! She's a Disney Bear that Minnie made to accompany the original "Duffy the Disney Bear". CUTE and UBER popular! You can't walk two-steps without seeing SOMEONE holding one of these, lol! I read that Duffy is THE most popular character in the whole of TDR!!! And I can BELIEVE it!!
Also, if anyone is interested in TDR, I would rec the "Disney Fan" magazine. SURE, it's all in Japanese, BUT, there's TONS of pics and cute stuff! :)
