This is beautiful. Painful and so sad, but absolutely gorgeous. I love your characterizations here; it felt very real and so much like them. But the thing I like about this the most is that it's very soft, if that makes any sense. The whole thing is subtle in just the right ways, and even though the ending is a touch sad, it also feels very resolved.

In short: utter brilliance. Thank you so much for sharing :)
