It's a fine balance. I mean, I act like a complete psychotic fuckup most of the time--I'm always the comic relief (as I'm sure you've noticed, heh heh). Often times, it does lead to people thinking you're completely vapid or just not concerned with things around you, but that's just a lack of perception on their part. Don't let it get you down; as long as you know you're making sound decisions and that you're capable, well, then, fuck 'em. ^^

Hmm, that does make me feel beter. :) it's weird though, because I used to totally not care that I usually act like a psychopath. I should have more faith in myself. I KNOW I'm making the right decisions, and that should be enough.

I know exactly how you feel. Recently, I've noticed that a lot of my friends see me as being immature and dumb, or at least they act that way, and I don't know how that happened. Yes, I like to act silly sometimes and occasionally I say dumb things because I don't think about it before I say it. But that doesn't mean my input isn't valuable.

That's damn true. Everyone says dumb things and makes mistakes. And I like the fact that I'm human enough to admit that I make mistakes. It bothers me when people act like I'm the one making mistakes when they make them too... GRAR.

I think you're doing just fine. You're not only silly (which I love), but you're silly in a jaw-droppingly intelligent way. I am confounded and amazed by how you think and where the silliness and humor comes from. I wish I could think so fast! I don't think that it has anything to do with maturity, other than perhaps the understanding that being grown-up doesn't mean having to be serious or even sensible all the time. It's a constructive outlet for the crazy that ALL people have, and it's a very, very attractive aspect of your personality. It's a big part of why I like hanging out with you, and a part of why I always want to spend more time chilling and having fun with you than I get to.

By the way, you, me, this summer: hang outage, at some point. I am very sad that we got too busy to ride/play.

Aww, thanks Greg. I think that's the single nicest thing anyone has said to me in a long, long time--I appreciate it. :) And I know we need to do more hanging out, and we definitely will!

I think that fact that you are doing this introspection is a testament to your maturity. I'd say something about metacognitive awareness or some other teacherly word, but it's late, and my semester is over. Plus with my current understanding of that term, I don't think it truly fits right now.

I will note that you are one of the few Parker people that I still keep in somewhat decent contact with. And I like surrounding myself with mature people, so there's that.

If our schedules align this summer we should chill or such. Ayup.
