Yup....

I'll admit it. I hate white people. Not directly, but in the abstract sense. I mean, a large number of my friends are white. I don't hate them, just the fact that they've been raised with a blanket over their faces to the things that go on outside of the small world they live in. They don't see that white privilege is a feasible thing. They don't ( Read more... )

The funny thing is, the black community brings this upon themselves as much as any white man could. Watch the news, read the newspaper. Listen in public. The black community asks to be separate. What you wrote here, contradicts itself. If everything should be equal, than fucking act like it. If there can be a black history month, what is wrong with white pride? If you can get accepted for a job or school because of color, not because of achievement, does that not set yourself apart?

I am sorry, but all of the black communities problems are not just the white man. You indeed are the ignorant one as well, my friend.

Blaming someone else for everything has always been the easiest way.

The black community asks to be separate because they don't trust white people. Just like most white people don't trust black people. It's a perpetuating cycle. It's just difficult for most people of any color to deal with white people because the most that you all can say is statements that make us feel like we're not supposed to be as intelligent or as successful as white people. Sadly enough, more of the ignorant black people help perpetuate the cycle and make a large portion of "us" seem like we're "less deserving" of some of the things we earn. Affirmative Action wouldn't be necessary if there was equal treatment. There's not. You can't deny it. I'm not saying that I should get a job over someone else if I don't qualify for it. Black history month is there as a celebration of the fact that people of color could start being treated equally. I'm pretty sure that when people finally get rid of all their prejudices..and I mean everyone...Black History month will become something that we just look at and pass, knowing what it was and ( ... )

"Black History month will become something that we just look at and pass, knowing what it was and realizing that things are better." That will never happen. The black community cries out to be different, you just said so yourself ( ... )

I'm not trying to say that one race is worse than another. I'm saying that one race is more ignorant in regards to their own stratification. I would like everyone to be equal. It seems that it'll never happen because there's always going to be this internal social struggle for someone to out-do the others. You don't understand that most white people barely see the folly of their actions. You get put on the fore-front because you're the most stratified. But, there's still a large number that "act out" seemingly in some type of fear. I really wish someone had given Native Americans some type of reparations. A large number of them are being raped forwards and backwards. It's like they've sold themselves to keep up with the rest of society. You keep bringing up all these other races like I don't realize their plight. I can't speak for them, though. I'm not even trying to speak for my race. I'm speaking my own thoughts ( ... )

The Jap's that were put into concentration camps are not heard of because that was a mistake. No one is proud of what happened there. No one makes fun of it because there is nothing to make fun of it about. What is supposed to be said in a history book? We fucked up! This is how..

The successful write the history books. You know that. You won't find America saying shit son, we fucked up on that one, for too long. That would not be smart on America's part. It's accepted that it happened, but if you over-glorify something, it's just going to become more of a problem. Sometimes it's best to leave something horrible only mentioned, and not dwelled upon. Take murderers for example, especially school shootings.

It's sad that those who write those books want to see America as some great nation. We're built on the idea of everyone being equal and free...but we're buried under more shit than we can take. This nation isn't as great as it would seem to be. It's greater than others, but not the best. Powerful yes, but straining under the weight of it's own history.
It's just seems like so many people will ignore things that happen because they're too embarrassed to actual fess up to the wrongs that have happened.
I think the reasons that the Japanese or Native Americans really don't fight that much against Caucasians is the fact that African Americans do enough for them all. Constantly.
Everyone is still attempting to get that slice of the pie.

Who does not confess that thoes things happened? To talk about it all of the time would make one proud of it. In which no one is. I'm not sure what you're saying should happen with that one.. people should be proud that they put Japs in a concentration camp?

"It's greater than others, but not the best." How do you define the best then? Who is the best?

I'm not talking about just that. There was someone who actually argued with me one day that there was actually a Jewish internment camp as well as a Japanese internment camp. I don't even fucking remember who it was. But, yeah. There are actually some people who don't even know about the Japanese internment ( ... )

By the way, the only reason I even said anything is because I respect you, and I know you will voice your opinion back. I know neither of us will probably change our minds.

Our stubborness is what makes us so likeable. That and I refuse to flinch in the face of danger.
