There are now several thousand computers world wide working on "Folding". Every computer speeds up the process of understanding how Proteins work and efect disease and cancers, and well everything.

Stanford University is the research centre, which has distributed the Folding software. ALl information will be avaliable too all research facilities

Im not too sure about the virus question. But i was using it for a fair while and didn't find anything out of ordinary. APart from ussually threats that is.
