A half-elf? Really?

[Oh, the doctor is very intrigued.]

[ Picks the Dreamberry up after a few moments ; he's still not used to this dream-broadcast deal ]

What does it matter?

I didn't mean any disrespect. I've just never had the opportunity to meet one before.

And what is it that you want to know?

Yes. Some have grown tolerant over the years, but clearly not fast enough.

I'm sorry. I wish people weren't so capable of things like this.

Apologizing for the actions of others does nothing, though I appreciate the sentiment.

I realize that.

People often don't take the time to understand something before they fear it, and it leads to discrimination and hate. I may not be of the same race as you, but I understand your frustration.

[He isn't one to normally invade everyone's privacy by commenting on dreams, or even by viewing them in general, but this one just hit home.

Half-breed.

Such blatant disregard for feelings and well being, simply due to race, something a person had no control over. It made him sick.]

They actually took it that far?

[He knows how that feels, but he's never known it to a degree such as that. Needless to say, he wears an expression of absolute disgust and anger and he watches.]

[ He pauses, eyes not really having settled completely on the Dreamberry up until a few seconds ago. He scoffs, a bitter and slightly amused sound leaving his lips. ]

Sadly, that barely covers the extent of their cruelty.

...how horrible. Is it always like that?

It was like that, and worse, for many years. People have begun to grow tolerant, however, though the process is agonizingly slow.

I'm all too aware.

Old hatreds die hard.

I assume things were like that in your world as well?
