i know i am preaching to the choir here, for the most part, but hey Virginians and Marylanders and uh ... District of Columbians? go vote! :) if you weren't planning to vote, do it for your idiot friend in CA who didn't get to.
since i was down with no party affiliation, i had to fill out a provisional (paper) ballot, but hey better that than none at all.
it was good i had read about your experience, because they had already processed my "no affiliation" electronic ballot card by the time they understood i wanted to vote democratic. i had to insist a bit, but they called someone over, who explained that i could, in fact vote dem, but would have to fill out the provisional ballot.
someone who didn't understand how it worked and/or didn't have a good command of the english language might not have fared as well...
