i really think it should say "clean lint trap AFTER use", not before. you know? i don't want to touch your lint.

i always clean it after i use the dryer. mainly because i am shocked and somewhat impressed by the amount of cat hair that manages to find its way in there. i'm like yay! this giant wad of cat hair is no longer on my clothes! huzzah!

I am with you there! Between the clear canister vacuum and the lint trap, the amount of my hair and cat hair picked up in this house is insane! We could build a huge hair monster 3 stories tall.

I know where all my lint comes from... american_arcane February 16 2008, 18:24:47 UTC
But that's one of the benefits of being in a place that has in-apartment washers and dryers. :)

I've taken to cleaning the lint out after the drying is done.

Mostly because I discovered that sometimes the wind blows back down the exhaust vent.

And, really, there's not much more annoying than trying to get lint out of the whole dryer, not just the lint trap.

You know, I always thought that was a little odd too. You should be responsible for your own lint, not someone else's.
