i have found the extent to which revisiting past entries can be damaging. what the hell possessed me to dig through the backlogs???? why the fuck did i feel i needed to go back and reopen all of those scars

Whenever I have looked through my live journal backlogs, I have not had a very good time of it. Of course we never remember beforehand, only in retrospect.
