For Hilson

I can only tell you evidence from what we have already been given. Of course, I may have drawn incorrect conclusions, or it may be going in a separate direction than I anticipate, and knowing the writers, it can change at any time. I remember someone-perhaps Greg Yaitanes, although I don't recall-saying that episode eight gave us a feel about where ( Read more... )

This is a fascinating post. I also noticed the complete lack of pleasure when House said that Cuddy was coming over. In fact, the LACK of pleasure in the relationship is the most striking thing about House and Cuddy. I had written early on in this season that they seem to have nothing in common but sex, at least it's written that way. After the initial smiles, they both seem continuously glum...even Taub has had more fun (momentarily) with his wife ( ... )

I agree with you on many points. House and Cuddy's relationship is not even as fun as I thought it would be, and it became pleasureless rather more quickly than I anticipated. I thought House and Cuddy acted quite a bit like teenagers, ever since season five at the latest, and I thought that would carry over into their relationship. They may have acted like it in the first and second episodes, to varying degrees, but I haven't seen that since. I have seen Cuddy being unfair to House, and I've seen sex used as a device for manipulation and for positive (and negative) reinforcement, but there is no longer that level of "fun" that I remember. I don't think that can carry over into a relationship with them; it doesn't seem capable of existing in anything other than a flirtatious, yet sex-less, relationship ( ... )

And again: Wow. I don't agree with every single point in this, but I do agree with a lot of it. So much food for thought!

(Okay if I friend you?)

If you don't mind my asking, what do you disagree with? I don't mean to be argumentative, I'm just very curious. Discussion is always important. Perhaps you see something I don't, in which case I will very likely learn something. I'm glad to know you enjoyed it, however, and found it to be food for thought regardless of whichever points you did not agree with.

Also, of course. I'll friend you in return.

I find it really difficult having good discussions typing in these little comment boxes. LOL! I'd love to talk about this in more depth, though. Would you be okay with taking it to e-mail (crazmadjo@gmail.com)? Of course, I perfectly understand if you'd rather not.

Of course, I'll send you an email right away. I agree that this isn't the most convenient place for in depth conversations, but sometimes I forget because I have them basically everywhere... Hahaha. I'm interested to hear your thoughts.
