Timezones

A question for members here~

Do you have a time difference between you? how big is it? how do you work around it?

Dave and I are 11 hours apart and currently that means one of us is usually getting up while the other is going to bed and vice versa, so we catch each other on Skype for a quick chat once (or twice if we're lucky) a day.

You?

relationships, question

He's 2 hours a head of me. It's pretty easy to work with, thank god. I'd be in trouble otherwise.

He's 3 hours behind me, but the issue is when he gets home from work, it's usually 9pm for me, which doesn't leave a whole lot of time to talk, unless I stay up into the wee hours of the morning.

When I was in an LDR he was 13 hours ahead and that was a total bitch to deal with.

I got up early to talk to him, and he was generally up way too late and was tipsy most of the time on weekends, which was I wasn't very pleased about, but we muddled through.

Yeah we get into the tipsy thing too, or I'm getting into bed and he's getting out.. it's weird! We'll be in 13 hours when both of our timezones change our DST settings. Going to be interesting.

we used to be anywhere from 14 to 16 hours, depending on daylight savings.. and it was made even worse because he works shift work which changes all the time.. we made it work by just making sure we made time for each other, even if it was a quick, "hey, how was your day? cool, yup, love ya, bye" .. most of the time it sucked, but you basically just do what you have to do :o)

Yeah I work shift work! sometimes it works out great that way because it's crazy hours like 4am etc for me and I'm home when he's going to bed etc. But yeah we always make time.

I'm about 15 hours ahead of him. We talk on AIM. He works different shifts each week so he's usually the one who's up late.
