Unscreening this post on Thailand too! Pics up on facebook... Lazy to post them here. :)
Back from Thailand! It's been a wonderful 10 days spent away from reality. :) There are so many good things to share about! Even though every single day was tiring, the opportunity to seek God everyday + see His goodness/plans + feel His presence + just being aware of Him in my mind; that was really a priceless experience. Even better than going overseas to play/shop. Learnt a lot and was reminded about many things about this faith we have. Went to church in Bangkok on Sunday (after the mission trip), and I was quite blessed by the sermon. The style was really different from Wesley... Haha, I guess listening to so many Wesley sermons made me too comfortable with a certain way the Word is preached. The secondary pastor's wife translated the sermon for us and woah, she was FANTASTIC. Fast and accurate, with complex words like "singed/countless" thrown in. Impressive! hahaha.
And the food was cheap and good too! Authentic thai food at soooo cheap prices. Jaw dropping prices really. And they're as good as Aroy Thai or Thai Express or Lemongrass or Bangkok Jam. :') Most of the time I was / we were too hungry to take pictures of the food... Hahaha.
Learnt a lot about working together with the team too. I guess I learnt more about each individual person and about myself. Since we were there for 7 days (longer than my previous trip to Suphanburi), we got to interact with Kim and Mary and their loveable Grace a lot more over dinners. Their sharing was so encouraging and amazing. Seeing them dedicate their lives to God's work was inspiring. Seeing how they gave up everything they have because of their belief in their one true God, being willing to give their whole lives to the work of God, devoted to His cause... that was really humbling and amazing. Having to learn a new language from scratch, not seeing any conversion or fruit for nearly 4 years, having to uproot their kids and struggle watching their kids struggle... All these yet persevering and staying on because of their belief in God's plans and who He is. That is really something to look up to.
Oh and I met Meen too! Although it was abit awkward when we first met at the airport (cos got nth much to say), it pretty much felt like we picked up where we left off :)
