title a heart so white
pairing sergio ramos/fernando torres
rating pg
summary sergio and fernanda are on the cover of a romance novel. utter crack. for luxover, because she wanted it.

He looks good on the cover of the book with his hair whipping across his face. His white shirt is mostly unbuttoned, and the sleeves billow in the wind as he clutches the rigging of a large ship, gazing out onto the horizon. His eyes are dark and piercing and his jaw is strong, his cheekbones sharp. The artist has done a good job with his skin tone, just the right shade of caramel, and his black pants hug his thighs perfectly.

The cover's mostly stolen by Fernanda, though, around whom he has one arm. She's leaning backwards, swooning, and her long blonde curls are the same color as the script of the title, A Heart So White. She's pale; the contrast of her hand against his chest is particularly striking. The sea breeze is salty and strong and Sergio looks like he's on top of the world.

"The fuck," Sergio says when he opens his locker at Las Rozas and a book falls out. It lands on the back cover and all he really notices is the Sernando Publishing House label. "This isn't mine."

"Sure it is," Raúl Albiol says. "I saw it at the supermarket yesterday, in the checkout line, you know? Dude on the front looks like you."

Sergio turns the book over in his hand. The guy on the front does look like him- a slightly beefier version of him, but that's definitely his nose and his hair. "Huh," he says. He puts it back in his locker.

"Hey, there's one in mine, too," Fernando calls from across the room. "Is that supposed to mean I'm the girl or something? Just because I'm blond?"

"Alvaro figured that one out," Raúl tells Sergio, and they both laugh as Fernando throws the book at the bottom of his locker.

"He does make a good damsel in distress," Sergio agrees, and starts tying on his boots.
