Ummmm I loved this and it was so sad to see Sami react that way around Mesut when he had no idea he couldn't remember anything :( I love the input of Sergio being his neighbor and the little glimpse of their friendship

What are you doing?" Sami hisses. He jerks his shoulder and Mesut picks his head back up, wincing at the stab of pain from his headache.

"I," he says. "What?"

"You can't do that anymore," Sami snaps.

Mesut frowns and pulls his knees up to his chest.

Agggggh this really broke my heart :'(

I think bringing in his religion was good? in a way, just to show that even though Mesut really loved Sami there was still that underlying feeling that he was doing something that his family would ultimately disprove of and he didn't want to lose them over something like that. Sooo good, I really liked this a lot.

i'm so glad you liked bringing his religion into it. that's where i got the whole idea of them breaking up, tbh, but then i was worried just because i really don't know much about his family, their beliefs, etc. so i'm really glad it worked for you! tysm for reading :)

Oh god, concussions are the worst thing ever and this brought mine back to me, and ugh, you wrote Mesut's discomfort and aching and boredom and that impossibility to sit still even though you can't possibly do anything else really, really well. And then Sami! And I loved how easygoing Sergio was about everything. He seems like he'd be the type to be really easygoing about everything. Well. Most things.
