I'm with you in side-eyeing VDB for the Pedro callup... (and let's be clear here, regardless of how much or little we like Pedro - I am not the world's hugest fan myself - it's not Pedro's fault he got called up; he doesn't make the choices!) but the argument I've heard is "Pedro had weak season but finished strong while Soldado started strong and finished weak". Not sure I agree that two goals in CDR final equals "finished strong", but whatevs. He's going, and it remains to be seen if he will play. I'd field Llorente first

oh no, i'm definitely side-eyeing VDB, i know pedro doesn't make the choices XD i think the thing with soldado is that his attitude problems have been issues~ in the past and he's never really gonna get called up because of that, but. water under the bridge, i suppose. i think it'll be llorente first, definitely. but i also worry about his form with spain. i think my thing with the 7 is i remember all the angst~ villa taking it from raul caused and i'm preemptively fearing something like that happening again. i know i'm being somewhat irrational about it XD but i certainly hope all is well between the two
